NEXT Stage Young Adults
Next Stage serves as a sub-group of Met Young Adults. Next Stage YA’s join young adults on Thursday nights for worship and the message but then split into their own small groups for discussion. The purpose of Next Stage YA is for people to connect with others at the same phase of life. Next stage provides the opportunity to find and build community while growing in Christ and guiding more to Christ from schools, workplaces, and within the MET and YA itself.
Who We Are
- Older young adults who are within the next stage of adulthood
- Examples of Next Stage YA’s include the following:
- Those who have recently completed college or university
- Those who are new to the work force
- Students pursuing graduate studies
- Newly married couples
- Next Stage YA’s can be described as anyone who is past the “freshman years” but is still encompassed as being a young adult
- Next seeks to be a venue for those who are transitioning out of the Young Adult group and into adult life at the MET.
What We Do
- Connect with one another through Thursday night discussion groups
- Bi-monthly social events (skating, hiking, bowling, games nights etc.)
- Yearly Retreats
- Serving together in the community
- Activities that give us the opportunity to pray, support, and encourage one another to become better disciples of Christ.
